Hauswald to be presented 2018 Addink Community Service Award

Whether welcoming or advocating for immigrant newcomers or helping to host lonely and hungry residents at the Sioux Center Community Unity Meal, she desires to reach out and meet the needs of people. For her selfless service, Hauswald will be presented the seventh annual Addink Community Service Award during Promise Community Health Center�s �An Evening of Promise� Celebration and Fundraiser on Thursday, Oct. 18, at Terrace View Event Center in Sioux Center. �I have great respect and admiration for Ken and Barb Addink,� she said. �Their commitment to family, as well as their desire to make dental care accessible to all, regardless of one�s ability to pay, reflects their generous and caring nature. 'The Amazing Arthur' to highlight Promise's 'An Evening of Promise'

Promise CHC to offer two Flu Vaccine Clinics: Sept. 26 and Oct. 24

SIOUX CENTER � Promise Community Health Center will offer two Flu Vaccine Clinics this fall. They will be held at Promise � located at 338 1st Ave. NW, Sioux Center, across from the Sioux Center city hall � on the following dates: Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center will offer two walk-up Flu Vaccine Clinics 3-6 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 26 and Oct. 24. The flu shots are free for youth and $25 for adults. 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26; 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24. The influenza vaccine shots are free for youth 18 years old and under and $25 for anyone over 18 years old. Promise also accepts insurance to cover the cost of the flu vaccines. No appointments are necessary. People can walk in at any time during the flu clinics. For children who are between the ages of 6-35 months and who are receiving their first flu vaccines, they will need to get two doses that are at least 28 days apart. SIOUX CENTER � Sandra Rodriguez is happy to to back at Promise Community Health Center because she �absolutely loved� the family environment. Sandra has returned to serve as a medical assistant/interpreter at the health center. Sandra Rodriguez has returned to Promise Community Health Center to serve as a medical assistant and interpreter. She hopes to bring �a helping hand� to her role. �I love helping people whether it be my co-workers or people that I don�t know. I am here to help,� she said. Sandra was born in Grand Island, NE, and moved several times throughout her childhood until moving to Orange City. She graduated from MOC-Floyd Valley High School in 2013. She served as a medical assistant/interpreter at Promise, 2015-16, and then worked as an assistant manager at Pizza Hut in Sioux Center, 2016-18, before returning to Promise. Promise serves everyone, whether they have health insurance or not, but Sandra appreciates the fact that the health center has a particular focus on rea
